Location: Finger Lakes Region, NY (between Rochester and Syracuse)
Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 plus bonuses

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our team in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of New York. This pivotal role requires a committed professional to lead and innovate in the areas of compliance, safety, and environmental stewardship within a dynamic industrial environment. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and extensive knowledge of EPA regulations, hazardous materials management, and wastewater compliance. A drive for safety and environmental excellence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide site leadership, ensuring excellence in all EHS program components through performance assessments.
- Utilize analytical skills and technical knowledge to improve site safety and environmental outcomes.
- Act as the EHS expert, spearheading Safety, Environmental, and World-Class Manufacturing initiatives.
- Collaborate across all organizational levels, mentoring Operations Leaders to achieve safety compliance.
- Design and implement strategies to mitigate safety risks and reduce the environmental impact of operations.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, acting as the main contact for governmental inspections.
- Conduct EHS audits and oversee corporate governance programs to maintain regulatory alignment.
- Manage EHS incident and injury reporting, ensuring thorough investigations and corrective measures.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive hazard/risk analysis and observation program for the site.
- Collaborate with various departments to create and execute an EHS training strategy.
- Maintain and distribute key EHS metrics and KPIs for the site.
- Stay informed on relevant regulations and legislation to ensure continuous compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in EHS, Occupational Health, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in EPA regulations, hazardous materials management, and wastewater compliance in an industrial setting.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage at all organizational levels.
- Proven leadership skills in forming, motivating, and directing high-performing teams.
- Expertise in safety and environmental management systems.
- Experience with AI or related tools to support EHS initiatives is a plus.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent EHS certification preferred.
