ob Title: Onsite IT Support Technician

Job Summary: As an Onsite IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients within their workplace environment. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, install and configure computer systems and peripherals, and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems onsite.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide onsite technical support to clients, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  2. Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and peripherals (e.g., printers, scanners).
  3. Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues.
  4. Set up and maintain user accounts and profiles.
  5. Perform hardware and software maintenance tasks, including updates and patches.
  6. Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
  7. Document technical procedures and solutions for reference purposes.
  8. Educate clients on basic IT troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
  9. Ensure the security of IT systems and data by implementing appropriate measures.
  10. Respond promptly to service requests and prioritize tasks effectively.
  11. Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role.
  2. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  3. Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
  4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
  6. Customer-oriented attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality support services.
  7. Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  8. Certification in relevant IT fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is a plus.
  9. Availability to work onsite and occasionally outside regular business hours to resolve critical issues.
  10. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
