Conduct supplier audits, investigate quality deviations, and develop supplier quality improvement plans while working with leather manufacturing and interior trim products for prestigious automotive brands.
Requirements: π
β
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (advanced degree or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred)
β
3+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering within the automotive industry
β
Exposure to interior trim or leather products ideally preferred
β
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, APQP, PPAP, and statistical process control
β
Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments to verify adherence to quality standards
β
Proficiency with root cause analysis tools such as 8D and Fishbone diagrams
β
Knowledge of IATF 16949 compliance and industry certifications
β
Experience with supplier performance metrics (PPM defect rates, on-time delivery, sustainability compliance)
β
Ability to review supplier capabilities and validate first-article inspections
β
Ability to work collaboratively in global, multicultural setting
β
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
β
Cut and sew experience a strong plus
β
Spanish/English bilingual a strong plus
β
English language proficiency required
