Role: Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Chemical Operations βοΈ
Join a leading chemical manufacturing company in Pensacola, the BEST BEACH TOWN IN FLORIDA, with exceptional upward mobility! Provide engineering support to operate the unit safely, reliably, and optimize the process by driving operational entitlement through the use of advanced optimization methods and identification of ideas to drive step-change technology improvements. Drive unit performance to operational entitlement with respect to yields, usages, reliability, and quality while achieving annual operating productivity targets and measurable improvements aligned to business financial objectives. Lead troubleshooting, optimization, and execution of A2E projects while monitoring key process indicators (KPIs) and key operating parameters (KOPs). Use entitlement models, ASPEN products, and statistical tools to challenge and improve unit performance while representing the unit for all technology (R&D) projects and developing innovative process improvement ideas with relocation assistance provided.
Requirements: π

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (preferably Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering)
β
10+ years of chemical industry experience required
β
Process optimization background essential
β
Experience troubleshooting in a plant environment
β
Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) training, certification preferred
β
Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) is essential
β
Experience with ASPEN products, heat transfer, and hydraulics
β
Strong technical and analytical skills with ability to innovate and solve complex problems
β
Experience with A2E (DMAIC) process and statistical tools
β
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams
β
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
β
Ability to provide off-hours plant support is essential
β
Ability to perform in highly dynamic work environment
β
Experience with PHA, LOPA, MOC, and incident investigations
β
Experience developing and maintaining dynamic operational entitlement models
β
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) leadership experience
β
English language proficiency required
