Ambleside Music Teacher - Part-Time

Ambleside School seeks a part-time Music Teacher passionate about a living education centered on Christ. This role involves fostering a positive atmosphere, applying Ambleside methods, and engaging students in choral and vocal lessons.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a sense of belonging within the school community.
  • Give and receive correction with humility.
  • Maintain a warm, inviting, clutter-free classroom.
  • Cultivate habit formation through upholding good order and high regard for persons.
  • Implement a clear growth strategy for students with significant weaknesses
  • Engage students in choral and vocal lessons.
  • Provide opportunities for student response and address comprehension issues.
  • Use the Kodaly method and uphold ASI standards for student work.
  • Introduce a variety of music genres and styles.
  • Meet with parents to discuss student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Music education experience, especially with choral and vocal instruction.
  • Alignment with Ambleside's values and commitment to a living education centered on Christ.
  • Strong communication and relational skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability

Note: This position is part-time, requiring a commitment of 2 days a week.
