Compensation Range: $120,000 - $156,500 per year

Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Division Controller who is driven to excel and passionate about making impactful contributions to our organization. As a vital member of our management team, you will report directly to the CFO. In this role, you will listen and learn our business processes to implement effective, results-driven strategies aligned with our commitment to continuous improvement. Your primary responsibilities will include managing daily accounting operations and overseeing the month-end close process. You will also play a crucial role in understanding operational impacts on financial results, effectively communicating findings, and collaborating with various departments to resolve issues. Maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting is core to this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze income and expenditures to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for three companies, including eliminating entries.
  • Lead and develop accounting and customer service staff.
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines, regulations, and tax laws.
  • Oversee month-end close procedures and budget planning.
  • Plan inventory counts and manage variance postings.
  • Prepare and approve journal entries.
  • Compile management reports as needed.
  • Coordinate audit preparations and gather necessary documentation.
  • Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFM are preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years of senior-level accounting experience, with at least five years in financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Experience in the agriculture or manufacturing industries is advantageous.

  • Frequent keyboard uses and prolonged sitting.

  • Occasional exposure to noise and varied temperatures in plant locations.

Working Conditions: This role is primarily based in a typical office environment, with occasional off-site and plant location visits. The position may require overtime and weekend work.
