Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our family law practice. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services by performing essential support duties and managing case-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and discovery requests.
Conduct legal research and compile findings to support case strategies.
Manage case files, ensuring all documents are accurately organized and maintained.
Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other involved parties to schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and summarizing case materials.
Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical legal practices.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
Paralegal certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in family law or related legal areas.
Strong understanding of Michigan family law procedures and court systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
