Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Semi-Skilled General Laborer to join our team. This is a multifaceted position where you will assist fabricators and machine operators, handle materials, and receive hands-on training to operate our automated saw. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with metal and a strong interest in growing their skills within a supportive and stable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
\nAssist fabricators and machine operators with daily tasks
\nPerform material handling and organization of shop materials
\nLearn and operate automated saw equipment
\nUse measuring tools (tape measure) to ensure accuracy in production
\nSafely operate a forklift to move and stage materials
\nSupport general shop operations as needed
\nQualifications:
\nAbility to read and interpret a tape measure accurately
\nForklift driving experience required
\nPrevious experience working with metal, such as welding or processing (press brake, saw, shear, etc.)
\nStrong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment
\nCompensation & Benefits:
\nStarting pay: $16.50 per hour
\nPay increase potential after 90 days to $17–$18/hour depending on skill level
\nFull benefits package, including matched retirement fund benefits
\nSchedule:
\nMonday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
\nOvertime and weekend work is rare but may be required a few times per year based on workload
