Production Scheduling Analyst Details

  • Permanent, full-time position located in Markham, ON
  • Day Shift: 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • Competitive salary up to $100,000K/year
  • 5% annual bonus

Production Scheduling Analyst Responsibilities

  • Build, implement, and maintain a Master Production Scheduling program from scratch.
  • Create accurate short-term and medium-term production schedules to support daily operations.
  • Analyze production capacity, throughput, demand planning, and inventory levels to optimize workflow.
  • Coordinate with Production, Planning, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to ensure readiness and timely changeovers.
  • Monitor forecasts, material usage, and volume trends, adjusting schedules as required.
  • Evaluate stock levels and create replenishment plans to minimize shortages or delays.
  • Provide schedule adjustments based on operational changes, delays, or unforeseen issues.
  • Ensure all incoming shipments align with purchase orders and production requirements.
  • Prepare reports related to forecasting, quality, defects, and production performance.
  • Work with internal teams to align production plans and support continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Production Scheduling Analyst Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or related manufacturing analytics.
  • Background in the food packaging & print industry is a MUST.
  • PMI Certification (CAPM or PMP) is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build new scheduling processes, tools, or frameworks from the ground up.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, changeovers, and plant capacity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Self-starter with initiative, problem-solving skills, and the confidence to drive scheduling improvements.
