Our client has asked us to source out this senior leadership role of Business Head – Mexico for their large, progressive supply chain/export organization. This position will oversee and expand their Mexico operations, including procurement, sales, and warehousing, with a focus on both domestic sales and international export markets for pulses products.

We’re looking for a proven leader in business and commodity trading to drive growth in Mexico, build strong teams, and deliver results.

 

Details

  • Monday–Friday, onsite in Querétaro, Mexico

  • Relocation within Mexico supported

  • Competitive compensation + end-of-year bonus*

  • 12 vacation days after 1 year, increasing with tenure

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee procurement, warehousing, distribution, and sales of pulses (chickpeas, beans, and related products)

  • Drive domestic sales of imported Canadian beans and expand export sales of Mexican products

  • Recruit, develop, and manage local talent across procurement, sales, and operations

  • Negotiate with vendors, distributors, and service providers to maximize efficiency

  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and profitability

  • Build, strengthen, and maintain long-term client relationships to support revenue growth

  • Collaborate with local businesses and stakeholders to secure resources and services

  • Develop and implement marketing and production strategies suited to the Mexican market

  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on sales and operations performance

  • Adapt global business practices to align with Mexican cultural and market dynamics

  • Mentor and inspire direct reports to uphold company vision and values

 

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in a senior management role within agribusiness, commodities, or international trade

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (MBA preferred)

  • Direct experience in pulse trading (chickpeas, beans, lentils, or related commodities)

  • Strong background in finance, marketing, and operations management

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal)

  • Highly organized with proven leadership and negotiation skills

  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and deliver data-driven strategies
