Job Summary  

The Environmental Aide will support the Infrastructure and Environmental (INE) team with the planning, organization, and execution of projects for various clients on a national basis. The ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable in a matrix environment and capable of assisting with production, data entry, and administrative objectives to meet client expectations through timely deliverablesThe position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in environmental policy, National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) compliance, and project management.

Duty Station: Remote  

Travel: Up to 10%   

 

Duties/Responsibilities  

  • Supports the INE Team with administrative tasks, project setup and controls, Graphic Information System (GIS) coordination, and contract management via existing company systems.   

  • Assists with monitoring project progress, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project documents and reports.    

  • Performs routine quality assurance functions including technical writing reviews of project deliverables.    

  • Assists with administrative tasks including monthly invoice preparation, expense tracking, meeting scheduling, project filing tasks, etc.    

  • Tracks and provides detailed reports on project progress, completes meeting minutes, and contributes to client and internal briefing documents and presentations.

Required Skills/Abilities  

  • Ability toreview, edit, andfinalizeavariety of technical environmental documents forclarity and consistency and to proofread and correct errors based on client-approvedstyle guides.  

  • Ability to simultaneouslyreview and edit multiple documents at varying stages of thedocument writing process.  

  • Ability to effectively manage time to meet deliverable targets and deadlines, workwell under time constraints, balance multiple priorities, and track progression ofvarious documents and project tasks concurrently.    

  • Excellent technical writing/editing and strong verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Ability to compile and evaluate information presenting the results clearly andconcisely to various audiences.  

  • Expert Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and possesses the demonstrated ability to formulate documents from scratch in Smartsheet, Excel, or a related software program to track deliverables, schedules, etc.   

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills.    

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.    

  • Ability to quickly learn about the project deliverables being provided to clients.    

  

Education and Experience  

Required:High school diploma or GED   

Preferred:Experience with Microsoft Projectand Smartsheet; coursework in environmental science, natural resources, or related field.   

  

Physical Requirements  

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.    

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
