We are working with an upcoming brand and company seeking a new position to fill!
A Director of Supply Chain  who will oversee and optimize the entire supply chain process,from procurement to delivery. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational efciency andexceptional customer satisfaction. You’ll lead a team of professionals and collaborate withinternal and external partners to build a world-class supply chain tailored fore-commerce.Is this for you?We are growing so rapidly, so things are changing quickly, and an in-house presence isrequired.
Responsibilities:● Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with businessgoals, focusing on scalability, efciency, and cost optimization.● Oversee inventory planning and control to ensure product availability whileminimizing carrying costs.● Work alongside the Fulllment Director for shipping, warehousing, and distributionnetworks concerns.● Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuousimprovement and innovation.● Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and leverage data analytics to identifyopportunities for improvement.● Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigatedisruptions.● Coordinating with Sales, Quality, Finance, and Fulllment teams to ensure smoothoperations.● Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, factories, and stakeholdersacross the supply chain.● Travel to factories as necessary to oversee the supply chain process, to maintainrelationships, discuss volume and production capacity.● Collaborate with factory management to ensure timely delivery of products whilemaintaining quality control.● Collaborate with the product innovation and design team to ensure new product andmarketing ideas and new manufacturing partners are added to the supply chainworkow and planned for.● Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) to implement best practices, QA/QCprograms, and corrective actions for quality improvements.● Develop and execute production plans to meet company milestones and targets,adjusting strategies as needed to maintain timelines.● Lead production team by setting performance goals, providing training, andmotivating staff to achieve optimal performance.● Implement lean manufacturing techniques to minimize waste, improve productivity,and streamline operations.● Ensure compliance with all relevant import standards, including Canadian and U.S.regulations.● Evaluate and appraise vendor performance regularly, identifying areas forimprovement and taking corrective action as needed.● Lead the implementation of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system,ensuring seamless integration with existing business operations.SUMMARIZED FOR JD:● Develop and execute a scalable, efcient supply chain strategy aligned with businessobjectives.● Oversee inventory management to balance product availability and carrying costs.● Collaborate with the Fulllment Director on shipping, warehousing, and distribution.● Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, promoting continuousimprovement.● Monitor KPIs and use data analytics to identify and implement process improvements.● Mitigate supply chain risks through contingency planning and proactivemanagement.● Coordinate with Sales, Quality, Finance, and Fulllment teams to ensure operationalefciency.● Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, factories, and stakeholders.● Travel to factories to oversee production, maintain relationships, and discuss capacity.● Collaborate with factory management to ensure timely, high-quality product delivery.● Support new product development by integrating design and innovation teams intosupply chain workows.● Partner with Quality Assurance to enforce QA/QC standards and drive qualityimprovements.● Develop and adjust production plans to meet company targets and deadlines.● Implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve efciency.● Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. import regulations.● Regularly evaluate vendor performance and address areas needing improvement.● Lead the implementation of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.Qualications:● Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, OperationsManagement, or a related eld (Master’s degree preferred).● 7+ years of experience in supply chain, production, or operations management, with aproven track record of leadership and strategic planning.● Experience in manufacturing, logistics, and vendor management, preferably ininternational supply chains.● Prociency in supply chain management software and PLM is considered a strongasset.● Strong understanding of inventory management, production planning, and logisticsprocesses.● Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. import/export regulations and compliancestandards
