QA MANAGER

A global IT company is continuing to expand its Quebec office, and is continuing to expand its R&D team – they are looking for amazing Quality Assurance Managers to make sure that all external and internal requirements are met before product release.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate releases for the R&D team.
• Implement an automated regression testing program; oversee the regression testing

process.

• Oversee the status and progression of code in development, staging, beta, and

production environments.

• Ensure quality releases by reviewing code submissions, deployment plans, and test

cases.

• Maintain and champion a comprehensive release calendar to aid in cross-team and

cross-org release communication.

• Implement scalable processes to accommodate variable release size and complexity.
• Maintain release documentation and manage key information such as build and

release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.

• Maintain awareness of all team projects and major initiatives/goals.
• Extract and analyze release data to provide to key stakeholders.
• Focus on continuous improvement in the release management process.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a test or development role as part of a product

development organization that has delivered consumer-oriented web products.

• 3+ years of QA Management and/or software release management experience.
• Experience working with remote employees and offshore teams.
• Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum).
• Experience with professional software engineering practices & best practices for the

full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews,

source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work

environment.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to generate and communicate

meaningful quality metrics.
