Ascension Search Partners has been engaged by a rapidly growing, U.S.-based consumer brand dedicated to improving indoor air quality through high-quality, American-made products. With nationwide distribution and a strong commitment to operational excellence, the company is seeking a Head of Corporate Development (M&A Lead) to drive its acquisition strategy and support its next phase of expansion. This is a highly visible and strategic role reporting directly to the CEO, offering the opportunity to build and execute the company’s end-to-end M&A function in a fast- growing, entrepreneurial environment.

Job Summary:
This newly created leadership role will serve as the company’s primary architect and executor of its M&A roadmap. The Head of Corporate Development will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and integrating acquisition opportunities that expand market share, diversify capabilities, and drive long-term enterprise value. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will collaborate closely with finance and operations leadership to ensure strategic alignment and seamless execution across all stages of the deal
lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, hands-on dealmaker with a strong background in private equity, search funds, or corporate development, and a demonstrated ability to translate strategic vision into measurable growth.

Primary Duties:
· Build and manage an acquisition pipeline (direct outreach, brokers, bankers, and off-market opportunities).
· Conduct initial screening and valuation work (EBITDA adjustments, multiples, red flag identification).
· Run point on diligence (financial, legal, operational) with outside advisors.
· Develop integration plans in partnership with operating teams.
· Support CEO in late-stage negotiation and deal closing.

Educational/Experience Level:
· 5–10 years in private equity, search fund, or corporate development (lower middle market preferred).
· Strong modeling and valuation skills.
· Demonstrated experience in executing and integrating acquisitions (not just building pitch decks).
· Exposure to distribution, manufacturing, or services is a plus.
· Hungry, entrepreneurial, and excited about building the world’s leading indoor air quality company.
