Position Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and the private equity sponsor, driving the company’s financial strategy, scaling infrastructure, and leading integration efforts as the business expands through acquisitions and organic growth. The ideal candidate is a senior financial executive with a track record of scaling services businesses from ~$20M to ~$100M in revenue, with deep experience in M&A, integration, and building finance teams and systems to support rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and private equity sponsor on growth strategy, capital allocation, and value creation initiatives.
  • Lead all financial operations, including accounting, FP&A, cash management, banking relationships, tax, audit, and treasury.
  • Develop scalable financial systems, reporting, and controls to support growth across multiple Texas markets.
  • Drive acquisition due diligence, transaction execution, and post-close integration to ensure seamless onboarding of acquired businesses.
  • Partner with operations leadership to track KPIs, improve margins, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team aligned with the company’s growth trajectory.
  • Provide board-level reporting and insights on business performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare the organization for future liquidity events, ensuring the company is well-positioned for continued success.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record as a CFO or senior financial executive in a private equity–backed company.
  • Experience scaling a services-oriented business from ~$20M to $100M in revenues.
  • Strong background in M&A, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Operationally minded, with a hands-on leadership style and ability to partner closely with field operators.
  • Prior success implementing systems, processes, and controls to support rapid growth.
  • Strong communication skills, with board and investor reporting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Location: Houston, TX preferred; exceptional candidates in Dallas/Fort Worth may be considered.
