Ascension Search Partners is engaged by a middle market private equity generalist firm that invests in a wide range of industries such as manufacturing, industrials, services, and consumer companies that are value based investments to hire a pre-MBA Associate. The associate will be a part of a small but diverse team of highly talented investment professionals allowing for high exposure and visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with a strong record of academic success

• 1-3 years of investment banking at a investment bank required

• Strong modeling, analytical, valuation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to key internal/external stakeholders

• Must have a team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects

• Desire to live in Dallas, TX and work in office. (If not from Dallas, Texas ties strongly preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining financial and operational models

• Conducting due diligence on new potential investments and their associated industries

• Transaction-related activities include strategic operational analysis, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and financing of platform and add-on transactions, as well as the implementation of operational improvements post-close

• Drafting investment committee presentation materials

• Drive operational improvements and strategic initiatives

• Drive evaluation of prospective add-on acquisition targets and execute add-on transactions

• Assisting with portfolio company operations and reporting

• Additional responsibilities on an ad hoc basis
