Ascension Search Partners has been engaged to hire a VP of Portfolio Analysis role for a financial institution in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. This is a key and critical position that will act as the liaison between the investment team, senior management, internal finance department, and investor relations performing monthly fund level reporting and analysis for investment performance and fund related asset management strategies. This individual will also have responsibility for quarterly valuation reviews and deliverables reporting, investor reporting, and monthly fund capitalization analysis.

The qualified candidate should have experience with waterfall calculations, investment valuations, and be well versed with the sourcing, aggregating, and maintenance of portfolio data to produce analysis and reporting that creates strategic insight that leads to actionable decision support for the senior leadership team and value creation strategies across the portfolio.

Education and Experience Profile:

• Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar
• Masters Degree preferred
• 4+ years of experience spanning private equity, asset management, investment banking, hedge fund, or management consulting in a decision support role
• Experience developing complex financial models
• Waterfall calculations
• Management and production of investment valuations, fund level reporting
• Well versed in developing investor reporting and analysis and delivering this information to senior leadership
• Exceptional verbal and written communication
