Position Summary:

The R&D Quality Project Lead Business Analyst is responsible for aligning and improving operations, systems, data, and tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of quality-related activities across the organization. This role supports the development of a data-informed culture by helping teams use insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

 

The individual in this position will assess the feasibility of new initiatives, define project scope, and manage the execution of approved efforts that improve processes, systems, and organizational performance.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and gather, analyze, and document requirements.

  • Evaluate current processes and data to identify areas for improvement using tools such as process mapping.

  • Act as a communication bridge between business teams, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and alignment.

  • Provide strategic and operational input on initiatives and apply best practices in project and change management.

  • Promote consistency and clarity in processes, tools, communication, and training across departments.

  • Manage or contribute to projects and change initiatives that support process improvement and operational maturity.

  • Identify and engage appropriate team members and stakeholders at each project stage.

  • Perform root cause analysis and data review to uncover patterns, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

 

 

 

General Skills and Competencies:

 

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across functions and influence decision-making.

  • Experience working on projects using frameworks such as SDLC, Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma.

  • Analytical and consultative approach with the ability to develop creative, practical solutions.

  • Comfort working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

  • Knowledge of quality concepts or regulated environments is a plus (e.g., audits, risk management, compliance).

  • Familiarity with process mapping and documentation techniques.

  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and SharePoint.

  • Able to work independently and escalate issues as needed.

  • May serve as a subject matter contributor on key initiatives related to quality, risk, or compliance.

 

 

 

Preferred Background:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, technical, business, or related field, with 5–7 years of relevant experience.

  • Master’s degree with 3–5 years of experience also acceptable.

  • Experience in a regulated, data-driven, or process-focused industry is preferred.
