The Program Manager - Data & Analytics is responsible for leading the successful execution of enterprise-level data and analytics initiatives. This role ensures alignment between business priorities, technology delivery, and governance standards. The Program Manager oversees planning, coordination, and delivery of cross-functional projects and programs, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact. The ideal candidate brings strong program management expertise, experience in data and analytics transformation, and the ability to collaborate across business, technology, and executive stakeholders. This position reports within the PMO and supports enterprise data and analytics leadership in program governance and execution.
Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of data and analytics programs and initiatives.
Define program scope, goals, and success metrics aligned to organizational strategy.
Ensure timely delivery of milestones while managing dependencies across multiple initiatives and workstreams.
Apply standardized PMO practices and project management methodologies to maintain consistency and transparency.
Build strong relationships across business and technology teams to drive alignment and remove barriers.
Demonstrate initiative and organizational agility in navigating dynamic, matrixed environments.
Engage effectively across all organizational levels, fostering collaboration and securing stakeholder buy-in.
Partner with business leaders, technology teams, and governance functions to align program objectives with enterprise priorities.
Facilitate communication between data engineering, analytics, governance, and business stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of accountability for executive-level program updates and reporting.
Ensure all data and analytics initiatives comply with enterprise data architecture, governance, and security standards.
Collaborate with governance and compliance teams to embed regulatory requirements into program delivery.
Manage internal staff, consultants, and vendor partners supporting program delivery.
Oversee budgets, contracts, and resource allocations to optimize efficiency and maximize value.
Identify and track program risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation and resolution strategies.
Escalate critical risks to leadership with recommended action plans.
Partner with data and analytics leadership to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business goals.
Ensure program outcomes contribute to strategic objectives such as data trust, actionable insights, and regulatory compliance.
Support strategic planning, roadmap development, and adoption of new data and analytics capabilities.
Facilitate training or communications to improve program visibility and awareness across the organization.
Proven experience managing large, complex, cross-functional programs or portfolios.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
Knowledge of data and analytics domains, including data governance, data architecture, BI, and advanced analytics.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models.
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and vendor oversight.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Airtable, Confluence, PPM systems).
Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or insurance.
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, Databricks).
Understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Experience with value realization and benefits tracking frameworks.
Knowledge of data modeling and data lineage concepts.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7–10 years of experience in program or project management, including 3–5 years leading data and analytics or technology initiatives.
PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP) preferred.
