Though this role is commission-only and does not include benefits, it offers uncapped income potential and the ability to grow your own book of business within a high-performance brokerage.
As a Commercial Lines Sales Broker, you’ll play a pivotal role in business development and client retention. Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and manage a personal book of business by prospecting, networking, and identifying opportunities across mid-market commercial clients.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and carriers, building strong, consultative relationships.
Analyze risks and exposures, create marketing specifications, and secure competitive quotes for both new and renewal business.
Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to meet client needs and close deals efficiently.
Collaborate with internal teams to prepare compelling proposals and presentations.
Ensure accurate documentation, invoicing, policy issuance, endorsements, and follow-up on claims.
Track renewals and timelines to ensure proactive service delivery and client satisfaction.
Proven experience in Commercial Lines insurance sales and servicing
A self-starter mentality with a hunger for success and growth
Strong communication and interpersonal skills – written, verbal, and client-facing
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Proficiency in sales processes, insurance documentation, and CRM systems
RIBO license in good standing (mandatory)
Additional industry designations such as CIP, CAIB, or CRM are an asset
