This cutting-edge center in the Rockies provides tailored treatments for various cancer types, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and specialized therapeutic agents. The facility is equipped with a Varian True Beam linear accelerator, an Elekta Flexitron HDR afterloader, a superficial x-ray unit, and a 4D-capable CT simulation department.

Role Overview:As a vital part of the radiation oncology team, the Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering ionizing radiation treatments to patients, adhering to treatment plans and protocols designed to combat various diseases. This role requires an understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, radiobiology, radiation safety, and the psychosocial needs of cancer patients. The therapist will collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare providers to deliver the best care possible.

Technologies & Techniques Used:

  • VMAT, SRS, SBRT, DIBH
  • HDR and LDR brachytherapy
  • Radiopharmaceuticals
  • Advanced imaging and treatment planning systems

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a radiation therapy training program
  • R.T. (T) certification is required and must be maintained

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Experience in Radiation Oncology is preferred, though candidates at all experience levels will be considered
  • Proficient in radiation safety and current regulations related to radiation therapy
  • Ability to interpret and deliver treatments based on established plans and treatment protocols
  • Experience with techniques such as Breath Hold, SRS, SBRT, Superficial, and HDR is required
  • Working knowledge of Mosaiq is highly preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong advantage
