Our Award Winning Client, a leader in the building materials industry and known for its exceptional nationwide operations, is seeking a Production Scheduler to join their team in Edison, New Jersey. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of production schedules and inventory management to meet organizational demands.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and analyze data daily using SAP systems to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and oversee production schedules and departmental workflows to optimize manufacturing efficiency and timelines.
  • Expedite operations to address unexpected conditions and maintain timely completion of production runs.
  • Record production and warehouse transfers accurately within the SAP system.
  • Maintain SAP system integrity to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Prepare detailed production reports to support operational insights.
  • Manage resale inventory (including imports) when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production goals.

Skills and Technical Proficiencies

  • Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook: Proficiency required to manage schedules, analyze data, and create reports.
  • SAP System Knowledge: Experience preferred for managing production and inventory workflows.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Essential for addressing production challenges and maintaining schedule integrity.
  • Strong communication abilities: Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication are key to success in this role.
  • Capability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School/Technical School diploma required.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in physical distribution or a production role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimal travel required (0-10 days annually).
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and adapt to varying environmental conditions when in the manufacturing facility.
