Our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized healthcare leader, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Position Overview:In this role, you will be entrusted with comprehensive patient care within the ICU, handling everything from initial assessments to formulating and implementing care plans. You'll be actively involved in patient/family education and serve as a key figure in maintaining high standards of nursing care. Your responsibilities will extend to overseeing licensed and non-licensed staff in the unit, ensuring proper nursing coverage across all shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient assessments, reassessments, and develop nursing diagnoses, adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Lead the nursing team, offering guidance and supervision to maintain exceptional standards of care.
  • Initiate health education programs for patients and families as necessary.
  • Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to provide consistent, high-quality care across shifts.
  • Ensure readiness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure continuous patient care.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Alabama.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 6 months of employment).
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher (required).
  • Proven ability to handle high-stress situations and effectively communicate complex nursing concepts.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with an ability to coordinate patient care and delegate tasks.
  • Experience providing age-appropriate care across diverse patient populations.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to take on rotating shifts (7AM - 7PM), including weekends.
  • A strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
