As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be part of a passionate team responsible for setting up and operating machine shop equipment, applying mechanical techniques, and utilizing your expertise in machining, welding, and metal properties to ensure smooth production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various machine shop tools, including CNC lathes, mills, and grinders, to meet specified tolerances.
  • Plan and execute the fabrication of equipment parts, including welding and sheet metal work.
  • Review blueprints, hand-drawn sketches, or part descriptions to determine repair or reproduction sequences.
  • Use machine tools and related equipment to handle both new and replacement parts for production machinery.
  • Perform accurate shop calculations using metric, decimal, and fractional measurements.
  • Carry out simple welding and soldering as required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment and ensure safety hazards are promptly reported.
  • Efficiently manage the workflow for producing new or replacement components for manufacturing needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Follow safety, environmental procedures, and Quality System Regulations (QSR).

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED plus 2+ years of experience in machining or a related field, or a Technical School Degree.
  • Technical or Vocational School education preferred.
  • Experience operating CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and similar equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical schematics.
  • General mechanical knowledge of production equipment to troubleshoot, adjust, or repair issues.
  • Welding and tool room experience is a valuable plus.
