Our Award Winning Client, a nationally operating company recognized for its excellence, is seeking a Licensed Millwright to join their team in London, Ontario. Position Overview:As a Licensed Millwright, you will play a critical role in supporting the operational success of various production processes within your designated work area. The position requires a combination of hands-on technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a strong focus on adhering to operational and safety standards. You will be responsible for maintaining process equipment, performing repairs, and utilizing your trade skills to support general maintenance needs across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Tasks: Perform maintenance work including the installation, repair, and upkeep of machinery, process equipment, and structural systems. Tasks will involve welding, pipe fitting, pump maintenance, and general mechanical work.

Operational Support: Troubleshoot, resolve issues, and apply your knowledge of various processes to optimize the performance of equipment and systems.

Equipment Handling: Operate motorized vehicles used for moving and lifting products, equipment, and materials across various plant areas, such as warehouses, storage yards, and factories.

Collaboration & Compliance: Work closely with your team to ensure compliance with company policies, especially related to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory (FSQR).

Physical Work: Perform various physical tasks, including bending, stooping, climbing ladders, shoveling, and working in confined spaces, requiring strength and agility.

Other Duties: As assigned by your supervisor to maintain smooth operations and meet production goals.
Required Qualifications:
- A valid Millwright License is a must.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Capability to work in diverse environments, including extreme temperatures.
- Proficient in reading and writing in English.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada and 18 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with maintenance trades such as electrical work, welding, machinist tasks, pipe fitting, fabrication, rigging systems, lubrication, pumps, and piping systems.
- Ability to operate machinery and heavy equipment, including forklifts.
- Prior exposure to Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) and Material Requirement Planning (MRP) systems.
- Proficiency in predictive and preventative maintenance practices and the use of predictive technologies.
- Experience working with industrial safety, food safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with automation, steam systems, and boiler systems.
- Certification in welding and other trade certifications is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and layout drawings.
