Our Award-Winning Client is seeking a B Mechanic - 3rd Shift at their facility in Washington, PA. This role supports their highly recognized business in commercial electrical product manufacturing and assembly. Our client has won many awards and operates on a national scale. The work hours for this position are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Position Overview:

The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery used in the production of electrical products. The mechanic will demonstrate expertise in working with a variety of equipment, including automated production lines, mechanical presses, and automated assembly machines. Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and resolving malfunctions in production lines and related equipment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Performing maintenance tasks, such as equipment lubrication and power press safety inspections.
  • Conducting changeovers on production equipment, including welders and assembly machines.
  • Loading coils onto automated production lines.
  • Handling intermediate electrical tasks, ensuring compliance with electrical safety protocols.
  • Performing tasks under hot work permits, including welding, cutting, and brazing.
  • Adhering to safety practices, including fire safety, fall protection, crane operations, and operating powered industrial lift trucks.
  • Retaining skills through ongoing training and task assignments, ensuring proficiency in all job-related operations.

Candidate Qualifications:

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience in maintenance or an Associate Degree in electrical, mechanical, or electro-mechanical fields with 1 year of experience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, multimeters, and measuring instruments.
  • A willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime when necessary.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and a strong desire to grow within the role.
  • Must reside within 50 miles of the Washington, PA facility (active-duty military excluded).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical systems with strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving equipment and technology.
