Our Award Winning Client, a leader in energy infrastructure solutions with operations spanning across the United States, is seeking a results-oriented EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) Manager to drive environmental and safety excellence at its Syracuse, NY facility, which also serves as a divisional headquarters. This position offers a dedicated office space on site, with relocation assistance provided within the U.S.

This opportunity places you at the forefront of compliance, training, and cultural transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will lead environmental and safety initiatives aligned with organizational standards and local, state, and federal regulatory frameworks, while developing sustainable practices and championing a zero-incident workplace.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee environmental and safety objectives for the Syracuse location, aligning with enterprise-wide EHS strategies.

  • Measure and analyze key performance indicators to evaluate success and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Lead risk identification activities and partner with site leadership to build and implement hazard mitigation plans.

  • Develop and maintain EHS policies and programs in alignment with corporate standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., MESH).

  • Collaborate with designated element leaders to ensure MESH components are assigned, executed, and evaluated annually.

  • Facilitate investigations for safety/environmental incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are applied.

  • Foster a proactive safety culture through behavior-based programs, Safety Committees, RIEs, and routine GEMBA walks.

  • Serve as site liaison during federal, state, and municipal audits related to air, water, stormwater, and general compliance.

  • Lead emergency response preparedness efforts, including maintenance and testing of emergency plans.

  • Oversee development and tracking of EHS training requirements using a structured training matrix.

  • Manage site-level EHS capital expenditures and annual budgeting for improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing or operational setting

  • At least 2 years of experience leading people or teams

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Science

  • 5+ years in EHS functions within manufacturing operations

  • Foundry environment experience highly regarded

  • Experience in compliance auditing and corrective planning

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation is advantageous

Candidate Profile:

  • Mid-Senior level experience

  • Proven leadership capability in safety and environmental compliance

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • No travel or security clearance needed

  • U.S. work authorization only
