Our Award-Winning Client, a leader in the Aerospace, Aviation, and Defense industry, has received numerous accolades and operates across the nation. They are seeking a Lead Systems Engineer – Cyber Affects to guide teams in developing, implementing, testing, and resolving issues in cutting-edge cyber applications. The role includes evaluating development products and COTS services to identify security weaknesses using advanced techniques that mirror those employed by highly skilled adversaries. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams of engineers specializing in both hardware and software, contributing to the development of offensive and defensive cyber capabilities. Additionally, you will interface with customers to shape key strategies and fulfill stakeholder needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to offensive cyber operations, applying hands-on experience in Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) environments (Active TS/SCI Clearance Required).
  • Provide leadership in the full program lifecycle, developing requirements, CONOPs, and interface control documents (ICDs).
  • Establish strong, effective relationships with offensive cyber organizations, internal and external stakeholders, and customers.
  • Serve as the technical execution lead for offensive cyber developments, overseeing the integration of capabilities with customers and other contractors.
  • Manage all aspects of offensive cyber programs, including maintaining customer relationships, overseeing requirements, scheduling, managing costs, and handling operational evaluations.
  • Act as a cyber area lead responsible for developing and applying offensive cyber standards, managing talent growth, and supporting business development activities.
  • Conduct trade studies to determine cost-effective solutions for satisfying program requirements.
  • Provide leadership for development teams during technical baseline reviews and design reviews, ensuring successful program delivery.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 7 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, 13 years of related work experience is required.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in offensive cyber operations is a must.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong technical background with a demonstrated ability to work with engineering development teams and customers.
  • Subcontract technical management experience.
  • Knowledge of securing virtualization platforms and techniques.

Candidate Profile:With 7 to 10 years of experience, candidates for this role should have mid-senior-level expertise, though direct management experience is not required. A Bachelor’s degree is the minimum educational qualification, and occasional travel may be required.
