Staff Program Manager – Commercial Aftermarket - Airbus

Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader with multiple accolades, is seeking a Staff Program Manager for their Airbus program based in East Aurora, New York. This individual will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Airbus aftermarket program and will report directly to the Program Director. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, teams, and upper management to meet and exceed program expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure alignment with all contractual obligations by managing program activities effectively.
  • Utilize comprehensive program management strategies to meet scope, timelines, and budget targets.
  • Lead efforts to improve processes and implement standard practices within the program management function.
  • Take charge of growing the business by overseeing proposals and supporting business capture efforts.
  • Create and maintain detailed program plans, including timelines, and monitor key metrics such as cost and task completion.
  • Facilitate proactive communication between customers, internal management, and functional departments to resolve outstanding issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Original Equipment (OE) Program Managers and other stakeholders to drive program success.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, ideally in engineering roles.
  • At least six years of experience in program management, with a strong emphasis on working in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
  • Expertise in managing budgets, plans, and schedules across various initiatives.
  • In-depth understanding of contractual requirements and ensuring strict adherence to the scope of work.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively and influence teams.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Commercial Aftermarket sector and/or Airbus programs is highly desired.
  • Must be able to access U.S. export-controlled information.

Candidate Profile:A well-rounded professional with over 10 years of experience, including at least six years in program management. The candidate should be capable of thriving in a fast-paced, delivery-focused setting, managing multiple priorities, and ensuring adherence to contractual and budgetary obligations. Prior experience with commercial aftermarket services and Airbus programs is advantageous, alongside strong leadership and communication skills. PMP certification and access to U.S. export-controlled information are additional assets.
