Primary Purpose of the Job:Our Award-Winning Client, a national leader in manufacturing architectural aluminum products and systems for the commercial construction industry, is seeking a Production Supervisor for their Bloomsburg, PA facility. This role is part of their Building and Construction Systems business, operating globally across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring quality decisions, and maintaining accountability for team performance. Flexibility for either day or night shift continuous operations is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and ensure the team adheres to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols while fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Drive EHS programs throughout the department and provide guidance to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Guide and mentor hourly production teams in process enhancements and quick problem resolution, dedicating 25-50% of time to coaching and hands-on employee interaction.
  • Analyze performance metrics, implement corrective actions, and work towards production goals.
  • Investigate issues thoroughly to prevent recurrence and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Maintain and update all necessary production records and quality assurance documentation for the assigned areas and shifts.
  • Achieve production targets, focusing on metrics such as output, safety, timely deliveries, and employee initiatives.
  • Enforce policies, workplace rules, and labor agreements consistently and effectively.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts, including lean manufacturing methodologies like 5S, standardized workflows, work balancing, product flow optimization, and TPM.
  • Plan and organize departmental activities, manage schedules, and assign tasks, ensuring adequate coverage and effective use of overtime when necessary.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by working with internal and external stakeholders to set clear priorities and expectations.
  • Perform any additional tasks necessary to meet operational objectives.

Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a facilities, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a unionized environment.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency with continuous improvement processes and techniques.
  • Results-driven, with a strong focus on data and customer satisfaction.
  • Technical proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Candidate Details:A motivated individual with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, looking to grow within the manufacturing industry. This role does not require prior management experience, but the ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership potential and a willingness to occasionally travel. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional education or certifications will be considered a plus.
