Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher
  • 2+ years of experience in ALL of the following:
    • Medicaid Eligibility
    • Case Management
    • Clinical Documentation
  • Valid CA driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, a good driving record, and auto insurance (Yes)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • In-Home Visits
    • Medi-Cal Process
    • PACE Model Experience
    • Working with Elderly

Overview: As a Medicaid Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping underserved seniors access essential care and support through Medicaid and Medicare applications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, assist, and manage Medicaid applications for prospective participants
  • Conduct home visits to assist participants with completing the Medi-Cal application process
  • Maintain accurate documentation and record participant enrollment information
  • Adhere strictly to DHCS and CMS regulations and policies
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department for data analysis and reporting
  • Monitor and maintain participants' Medicaid eligibility
  • Provide community resources to prospective participants and families/caregivers
  • Collaborate with government specialists for required documentation

Schedule and Shift Details:

  • Full-time schedule, no on-call required. M-F, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Travel:

  • Home Visits in the LA area

  • Knowledge of Medicaid and clinical documentation is important in this role. Looking for candidates with process renewal, application/documentation info, and case management experience throughout the Medicaid/Medicare process.
  • Working Location: Conducting home visits. Candidates must reside in LA or within 10-15 miles within LA.
