We are seeking a skilled Smart Systems Building Installer and experienced Field Startup Technician with a focus on Electrical Controls to join our team. This role is crucial for the commissioning and support of advanced lighting control systems. The successful candidate will ensure that our systems operate efficiently and meet project specifications, providing technical expertise and support in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project documentation and specifications to ensure accurate implementation of lighting control systems.
  • Conduct commissioning and provide exceptional field technical support for control components to meet project design standards.
  • Assist with BAS/AV integration, addressing any technical challenges that arise.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring and providing support to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with integration technicians, building owners, managers, and electrical contractors to resolve technical issues related to lighting control integration.
  • Revise control-related design drawings and documentation for owner use.
  • Work with the engineering team to address unresolved field issues, offering technical guidance to customers.
  • Coordinate with project managers and engineers on potential product enhancements.
  • Conduct training sessions on controls for both internal and external audiences in various settings.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Vocational High School or equivalent degree in Electrical, Electronics, HVAC, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in electrical controls or Tridium Niagara certification.
  • OSHA 30 Certification Card.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with networking systems, including routers, hubs, and LAN lines.
  • Knowledge of BACnet and TCP/IP integration on the Tridium Niagara platform.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in documenting business activities and managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills, adept with word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and meeting management software.
  • Proficiency in networking and programmable logic software systems.
  • Efficient use of internet and web-based resources.
  • Willingness to travel within the New England market.
