We are seeking a highly qualified Facility Security Officer to manage and oversee security operations at our DC Regional Office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in security administration, compliance with government regulations, and a strong understanding of national security protocols. This role involves daily collaboration with government counterparts, management, and program personnel.
Location: Vienna, DC Regional Office
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer the daily operations of the Industrial Security program, ensuring compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD series), and other relevant government regulations.
- Support collateral level DoD programs and special access programs for various Government agencies.
- Collaborate with corporate management to make informed security decisions to prevent unauthorized access to facilities and information.
- Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, and support government customer assessments.
- Develop and update company policies and procedures according to NISPOM, DD254s, and contract requirements.
- Maintain facility clearance status in NISS and manage required program and personnel documentation.
- Oversee the physical security of multiple local facilities, ensuring compliance with DCSA and ICD 705 requirements.
- Assist with personnel security program administration and manage security clearance processes.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience in a similar role, with responsibilities in special access and industrial security operations.
- Certified Facility Security Officer (FSO) experience.
- Experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) or Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO).
- In-depth knowledge of NISPOM, ICDs, Executive Orders, and Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs).
- Proficiency with DISS/NBIS, NISS, SWFT, eQIP/eAPP systems.
- Understanding of OPSEC procedures for sensitive government information (FOUO, CUI).
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and a current polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., NCMS, ISWG).
- Experience with ICD 503 Risk Management Framework process.
- Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
