Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are seeking a passionate and skilled Service Sales Engineer to play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence in the Upper Midwest, focusing on food processing manufacturers. This position requires a candidate who is either based in or willing to relocate to the vibrant community of Hammond, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Service Leadership: Drive parts sales and service initiatives to support business growth, ensuring effective resource allocation for maximum market impact.
  • Strategic Implementation: Develop and execute local sales strategies to enhance competitiveness and achieve sales targets.
  • Customer Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams, serving as the main point of contact for all product and service inquiries.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve complex issues during customer site start-ups and field trials to ensure satisfaction.
  • Market Expansion: Expand market reach by staying updated on industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Product Development: Collaborate on product development projects to meet customer demands and ensure successful product launches.
  • Quotation & Pricing: Prepare detailed quotations and assist in developing competitive pricing strategies.
  • Customer-Centric Culture: Promote a cohesive approach to customer interactions, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
  • Travel & Relationship Building: Travel extensively (50%) to build and strengthen customer relationships and explore new business opportunities.
  • Change Management & Leadership: Lead initiatives with strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills to drive organizational success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in industrial applications, preferably in the food industry with knowledge of drying and evaporation processes.
  • Proven technical sales experience with capital industrial equipment sold to food processing manufacturers.
  • Strong B2B sales experience, especially with plant and operations managers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking abilities with a strong customer focus.
