As an HP-UX Veritas Serviceguard Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing high-availability clusters in HP-UX environments. Your primary focus will be ensuring the continuous operation and availability of critical applications through the deployment and management of Veritas Serviceguard.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain HP-UX operating systems and Veritas Serviceguard clusters.

Monitor and manage high-availability environments to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HP-UX and Serviceguard clusters.

Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure security and stability.

Design and implement disaster recovery plans and procedures.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and optimize enterprise applications.

Document configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Provide technical support and training to team members and clients as needed.

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with HP-UX administration.

Proven experience with Veritas Serviceguard in designing, implementing, and managing high-availability clusters.

Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, networking, and storage solutions.

Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Certification in HP-UX or Veritas technologies.

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., HP Integrity Virtual Machines, vPars).

Familiarity with other high-availability solutions and cluster management tools.
