The Director of Human Resources will serve as a strategic HR leader and trusted advisor to executive leadership. This individual will shape HR strategy and ensure programs reflect the organization’s culture of innovation, employee ownership, and operational excellence. The role requires a balance of strategic insight, operational execution, and a commitment to fostering a high-performance, inclusive workplace.
 
Duties: Including but not limited to:
 
Strategic Leadership & Alignment
 
  • Partner with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives and organizational growth.
  • Drive a culture of engagement, ownership, and accountability across the workforce.
 
Talent Acquisition & Management
 
  • Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract top-tier professionals.
  • Build strong employer branding that highlights the organization’s culture and values.
Employee Development & Retention
  • Design leadership development and succession planning programs.\
  • Implement robust learning and training platforms to support professional growth.
 
Compensation & Benefits
 
  • Oversee competitive compensation and benefits planning, including benchmarking within the industry.
  • Manage employee communications to ensure understanding and engagement with benefit programs.
 
Employee Relations & Culture
 
  • Champion an inclusive, collaborative culture that supports innovation and teamwork.
  • Address employee relations matters with fairness and consistency, building trust at all levels.
 
Performance Management
 
  • Lead performance review frameworks that drive accountability and development.
  • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and performance metrics.
 
Compliance & Risk Management
 
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage compliance-related reporting and mitigate workplace risks effectively.
Analytics & HR Systems
 
  • Utilize analytics to inform workforce planning and talent strategy.
  • Implement and optimize HRIS systems for scalability and data-driven insights.
 
Qualifications:
 
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) strongly preferred.
  • 8–10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with employee ownership models (ESOP) is a plus.
  • Proven ability in talent strategy, leadership development, organizational change, and employee engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices in compensation, benefits, performance management, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-driven thinker with experience in HR analytics and HR technology platforms.
