Location

  • On-site in Newark, NJ – Work closely with attorneys and clients in a vibrant, team-oriented office environment that serves clients across Essex, Hudson, Bergen, and Union Counties.

Note

  • Must be bilingual (Spanish/English). Haitian Creole fluency is a plus.
  • Prior immigration law experience or legal assistant background preferred.

Job Description

  • Support attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions, forms, and legal documents.
  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all records are complete and up to date.
  • Communicate with clients in both English and Spanish to gather information and provide case updates.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in case strategy preparation.
  • Coordinate with courts, government agencies, and clients to track case progress.
  • Ensure confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail in every interaction.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
  • Prior legal assistant or paralegal experience (immigration experience preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive with a client-first mindset.
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and eager to learn.
