Ascension Search Partners has been engaged by a growing, private equity-backed company in their search for a new Controller. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will have oversight of accounting, financial reporting, audit, and tax management, and will be a trusted business partner helping to interpret the financial results for the company.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed CPA with strong private company accounting experience within the manufacturing industry. We have partnered with a growing, profitable, private equity-backed portfolio company in the search for a Controller. The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA who is detail-oriented and confident in owning the entire accounting function and being responsible for maintaining all procedures and controls related to the company's financial accounts.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Accounting preferred
• Masters in Accounting preferred
• CPA required
• Public accounting experience is highly preferred
• 8+ years of professional accounting experience
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven ability to hire, develop, train, and mentor an accounting department
• Experience with process improvements and automations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Systems savvy - Hyperion, SmartView, and Oracle a plus
