Ascension Search Partners has been engaged by a high-growth, private-equity-backed data center platform to recruit a talented Director of Finance, Strategy. This is a newly created, high-visibility role reporting directly to the CFO and CSO, where the successful candidate will own and lead the company’s core financial model while playing a critical role in strategic decision-making.

Job Summary:

The position is ideally suited for an A+ investment banking professional seeking to move into a dynamic operating company environment with significant exposure to transactions, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives.

Primary Duties:

• Take ownership of the company’s three-statement financial model, serving as the primary driver of financial analysis for leadership and key stakeholders.
• Partner closely with the CFO and CSO on forward-looking strategic initiatives, including transactions, capital allocation, and long-term planning.
• Support corporate development, M&A, and financing activities through detailed financial analysis and scenario modeling.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements and help refine financial planning capabilities as the business scales.
• Provide leadership and mentorship within the finance team as the organization continues to expand.

Educational/Experience Level:

• 2+ years of investment banking experience, with deep expertise in financial modeling and transaction execution.
• Proven ability to own and manage a three-statement model with precision and strategic insight.
• Prior team leadership or management experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior executives and stakeholders.
