As Controller, you'll play a pivotal role overseeing all aspects of accounting for our growing Bank. You'll ensure accurate financial reporting, manage risk effectively, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Champion a strong system of accounting records and deliver GAAP-compliant financial reports.
• Implement robust internal controls and ensure adherence to state and federal banking regulations.
• Lead a talented team of accounting professionals, fostering their development and success.
• Oversee daily accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Manage cash flow, investments, and regulatory capital requirements.
• Work with tax preparers and ensure accurate tax filings.
• Stay apprised of evolving accounting pronouncements and industry regulations.
• Partner with other departments to streamline processes and enhance accounting functionality.

Qualifications:

• A degreed accountant (B.S. in Accounting or Finance) with a minimum of 6 years of experience in community banking and public accounting.
• A proven leader with at least 3 years of experience developing and managing a team.
• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and bank regulatory reporting.
• A technical wizard with advanced Excel skills; Fiserv experience a plus.
• An effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
• A master of organization, able to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
• A resourceful problem-solver with a strategic mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
