In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in supporting the Controller and gaining valuable C-level exposure. You'll leverage your accounting expertise across various areas, including reporting, budgeting, and analysis.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with property management to review monthly financial statements and reports.
• Utilize AVID Exchange for efficient accounts payable invoicing.
• Reconcile bank accounts to ensure monthly accuracy.
• Contribute to the creation of valuable internal reports.
• Safeguard the integrity of the MRI accounting system through G/L account and code monitoring.
• Partner with property management to analyze annual property budgets.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual corporate G&A budget.
• Support the year-end audit process for seamless completion.
• Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments, particularly during financial analysis of new acquisitions and developments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• CPA license is a highly valued asset.
• 4+ years of work experience, with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting, is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP is essential.
• Prior experience in real estate accounting and understanding of "fair value" reporting is a plus.
• Proficient in Excel with a knack for data analysis.
• Familiarity with MRI and Argus accounting software is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on clear and concise documentation.
