Job Summary: Reporting to the Commercial Lines Manager, the incumbent is a member of the Commercial Lines team. This individual should be highly motivated; detail oriented and maintains strong communication and relationship building skills.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Servicing:
· Advise, service & manage all day to day client activity for assigned book
· Servicing includes administration of the client renewal process; managing day to day customer service activities including policy changes & cancellations & claims assistance
· Preparation of all client facing documentation including submissions, schedules, proposals, letters, invoices, certificates of insurance
· Meet with existing clients to perform annual reviews & determine potential coverage gaps
Sales:
· Ability to network and develop leads; use lead lists to establish contact and schedule appointments
· Meet with prospective clients
· Promote and sell a variety of insurance products
· Solicit referrals from clients; Cross sell/up sell existing book of business
· Cultivate, quote and place new business from past clientele contacts & new relationships
· Collaborate directly with all channels of sales representatives to offer insurance solutions to current freight / logistics clients including cross selling commercial lines
· Develop technical expertise in commercial lines, aviation & marine insurance
· Research carrier appetites & coverages to enable the best strategic decisions for the clients
· Provide strategic input and tactical direction into the customer account planning process
· Submit, negotiate & bind terms with carriers in the best interest of the clients
· Ensure accountability and alignment to the sales strategy
· Utilize Epic opportunities to evaluate & measure leads, closing ratio & pipeline management
· Participate in regular sales meetings
· Other duties as may be assigned to you by the Company
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years in a brokerage as an Account Manager/Customer Service Rep; knowledge of most major markets
- RIBO Licence required
- EPIC Experience preferred
- University or College Degree/Diploma an asset
- CAIB, CIP, CRM or equivalent (or working towards) an asset
