We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team!
The Commercial Lines Account Manager/Customer Service Representative (AM/CSR) is responsible for front facing client management with a focus on maintaining high standards for service excellence. This role will nurture key relationships with clients and be meticulous with the detailed work involved in managing a portfolio of clients such as tracking policy changes, important deadlines, and legal regulations.
Working in concert with Account Executives, the AM/CSR will help customers understand their coverage, assist them with any claims if required, and ensure all relevant data is properly tracked in our secure system. This is an in office position to start, leading into a possible hybrid schedule, dependent on successful performance of all job duties.
Responsibilities
Promptly respond to calls, e-mails and mail in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a high level of service.
Create and execute new business workflows in partnership with Account Executives.
Efficiently perform and implement the renewal process, including complete renewal reviews, making recommendations.
Ensure that policy information is promptly and accurately entered into the policy management software system to streamline workflow and help your team.
Review requests for Certificates of Insurance as required.
Accurately handle change requests and ensure risk management is prioritized.
Provide creative solutions for all accounts in your assigned portfolio- from simple to complex/large accounts- to meet the needs of the client.
Act as a front-line underwriter by working closely with clients to assess their insurance needs, ensuring their qualifications and promoting sound business solutions.
Assist clients with reporting claims and follow up in a timely manner to maintain the high quality service from our insurance partners.
Manage accounts receivables as required to ensure timely payments.
Work closely with Account Executives to identify additional lines of business and cross-sell opportunities for your shared portfolio.
Provide back up coverage for the team as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
RIBO licensed, with 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry required.
Business Administration Degree would be an asset.
Working towards CAIB or CIP designation is an asset.
Computer savvy and proficient with the MS Office Suite of programs, especially Outlook, Excel & Word.
A team player with a strong work ethic and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience with PowerBroker and PolicyWorks would be an asset.
Strong attention to detail including strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize/manage workload under pressure with tight deadlines.
Change resilient, autonomous worker with the ability to multitask and problem solve with confidence.
