We are looking for someone that we hope can really hit the ground running in our “Traditional Commercial Department”.  This department handles Mid Market Accounts.   There is a lot of variety and it is a fast-paced team that prides itself on having double digit growth for the past 3 years. 

They do not have commissioned producers in their office so the Brokers in this department take on some additional client relationship building responsibilities once they have a good feel for the role.  The role is primarily in-house with most client interaction over the phone and email.  

Position Overview

• Handling policy renewals as assigned (including preparation, review and negotiation with insurers as required)
• Servicing existing customers with inquiries and changes as required
• Processing certificates, renewals and endorsements
• Rating and issuing of new business for exclusive programs
• Follow ups with clients and insurance companies for required information and documents
• Accounts receivables
• Claim reporting and follow-up
• Any other as duties as may come up on a day to day basis

Position Requirements

• 5 years of Commercial Lines insurance experience in a brokerage setting
• Valid RIBO license 
• Exceptional client service skills
• Strong analytical, organization and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong team player – ability to adapt to and work cooperatively with various individuals
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and experience with Applied Epic is an asset
