Our client has a long history of service and advice to clients throughout Ontario with our roots dating back to 1945. Their growth has been fueled by a dedicated team of experienced professionals supported by solid partnerships with top insurance carriers in Canada. They are currently seeking an experienced HR Professional to join their team!
Job SummaryReporting to the EVP, the HR Manager will be responsible for running the daily functions of the HR Department and assist withbusiness operations of a rapidly growing organization. The HR Manager will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping plan and administer recruitment, staffing, onboarding, policies and procedures, data management, benefits, employee relations and Regulatory Compliance.
Job Functions: Manage full cycle recruitment process including, job postings, interviewing and creating offers of employment. Create Job Descriptions for new postings Update Company Policy Handbook by creating new Policies First point of contact for HR related inquiries from employees, Branch Managers and Management team. Maintain compliance with provincial and federal employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices. Manage employee files electronically and on HRIS system. Collaborate with payroll and branch managers to ensure smooth onboarding of new hires, acquired brokerage staff andother compensation related changes. Administer company’s group benefits and pension plan. Maintain HR organizational chart, trackers and budgets in excel and create relevant reports to Management team asrequired. Stay current with Registered Insurance Broker Ontario (RIBO) regulations and ensure the company’s RIBO licenses are ingood standing.
Qualifications: 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience. Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with RIBO and Out of Province insurance licensing an asset.
