Position Overview:Our client is seeking a RIBO Licensed Personal Lines Customer Service Representative / Underwriter to join their team. This hybrid role is ideally suited to someone who is client-focused, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The role is composed of approximately 75% Personal Lines Customer Service and 25% Personal Lines Underwriting Support.
In this position, you will handle a wide variety of service responsibilities, along with pre-underwriting tasks such as reviewing applications before they are submitted to the processing team. If you're a strong communicator, highly organized, and enjoy both service and technical work, this could be the ideal role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding day-to-day service to Personal Lines clients by answering inquiries, offering expert advice, and resolving concerns
Process policy changes and endorsements accurately and efficiently
Conduct renewal reviews and coordinate remarketing when necessary
Review new business and renewal applications for completeness and accuracy prior to submission to the processing team
Report claims on behalf of clients, providing guidance throughout the process
Build and maintain professional relationships with insurers and underwriters
Support producers with documentation, client follow-up, and general administrative assistance
Qualifications:
Active RIBO License (required)
3-5 years of experience in Personal Lines customer service in a brokerage setting
Solid understanding of Personal Lines insurance policies, products, and coverages
Detail-oriented with a strong ability to review and verify documentation
Proficient with industry systems and portals (e.g., CQ, Power Broker)
Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-first mindset
