This opportunity supports their industrial product innovation team focused on stationary diesel generator systems.
They are seeking a Senior Product Manager – Stationary Systems with the ability to lead product lifecycle strategy for diesel-powered industrial energy systems. This role involves strategic planning, product roadmap development, market research analysis, and cross-functional leadership to support ongoing growth and technical innovation.
Formulate and lead strategic direction for assigned diesel generator product lines with clear business metrics such as market share growth and profitability.
Utilize foundational market and customer research to support strategy, positioning, and product development priorities.
Develop and maintain a multi-year innovation roadmap including next-generation product launches, cost reduction initiatives, and end-of-life transitions.
Serve as a subject matter expert for product capabilities, specifications, market drivers, and competitive differentiators.
Build and deliver business cases tailored to multiple stakeholders using both qualitative and quantitative insights.
Lead concept development and strategy execution through cross-functional teams, moving products through stage-gate and go-to-market phases.
Partner with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to align roadmap initiatives, launch activities, and value propositions.
Contribute to decisions surrounding product positioning, technical evolution, and customer-focused solution development.
Ensure product decisions account for critical factors such as intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and industry legislation.
Provide internal reporting and performance metrics relevant to product line objectives.
Support internal and external stakeholders through strategic presentations, technical communication, and go-to-market readiness.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, technical sales, or engineering roles involving product lifecycle ownership.
Strong understanding of product development within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
Proven skill in analyzing market conditions to influence innovation and business decisions.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with presentation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and matrixed environment.
MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
Industry experience in power generation or commercial/industrial energy systems.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical data across multiple stakeholder audiences.
