Position: Engineering Project Manager - Torpedo Programs

Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in innovative software and hardware integration, research and development, and manufacturing, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to oversee a dynamic team delivering advanced Torpedo Guidance and Control systems for the U.S. Navy. In this role, you will contribute to the creation of cutting-edge technologies that serve the Department of Defense, ensuring enhanced capabilities for target detection, acquisition, and prosecution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline (Science, Engineering, or Mathematics) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 6 years of experience.
  • Strong background in systems engineering, including technical leadership, project cost management, and scheduling.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to security clearance requirements, with eligibility for a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers in developing and integrating torpedo guidance and control systems, ensuring all project requirements are met and high-quality deliverables are produced.
  • Oversee all aspects of program technical performance, including cost, scope, and scheduling, to guarantee timely and effective project outcomes.
  • Innovate and implement advanced technologies, providing solutions in areas like signal processing, acoustic sensors, guidance systems, and cyber-secure environments.
  • Resolve complex technical challenges, communicating solutions to stakeholders and ensuring seamless integration into project goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop engineering plans, manage risks, and adhere to engineering standards specific to the program.
  • Drive a culture of innovation while supporting the company’s technical vision, ensuring a high level of performance from your team.
  • Participate in monthly engineering reviews and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain responsibility for the team's performance, offering guidance, mentorship, and feedback to maximize team potential.

Candidate Details:You bring 7+ years of experience, with a background in electrical engineering or a related field. Your seniority level is mid to senior, with prior experience in managing teams or technical leadership, although direct management experience is not a strict requirement. You hold a bachelor’s degree at a minimum and are willing to travel occasionally for project-related work.
