The schedule rotates every other week. A $1 shift differential applies to the second shift.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking skilled Machinists with a passion for precision, hands-on learning, and troubleshooting, to support its high-quality machinery manufacturing processes. This opportunity offers the chance to work with advanced technology in a challenging environment alongside seasoned professionals focused on mentorship and skill development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and program NC Mills, including G-code or conversational programming proficiency.
  • Set up machines, create fixtures, and ensure optimized machine speeds and feeds for diverse materials and tools.
  • Check parts independently using measuring instruments such as OD/ID mics, calipers, and depth mics.
  • Interpret standard and metric blueprints, with strong knowledge in GD&T.
  • Shift between different machines or assignments as workflow requires.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards and document actions for shift continuity.

Qualifications

  • Technical Knowledge: Profound expertise in machine shop equipment, manual lathes, mills, grinders, and at least 5 years of hands-on experience.
  • CNC Equipment: Solid working knowledge of CNC machinery.
  • Programming Proficiency: Experience with software like Esprit or MasterCam is advantageous.
  • Technical Education: A degree in Machine Shop or a similar technical field is preferred.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, and manage rotating shifts.
  • Self-Sufficiency: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
