Job Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to critical care patients. This role requires proficiency in various technical skills, such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (to be obtained within 3 months of hire), and NIH Stroke Certification (to be obtained within 3 months of hire). This position requires at least an Associate Degree in Nursing and 2 years of ICU experience. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) and specialty certifications in critical care or emergency services are preferred.

Shift Options:

  • 12-hour shifts: Day (7am - 7pm) and Night (7pm - 7am)
  • Shift Differentials:
    • Evening: 8%
    • Night: 11%

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse licensure (Idaho or eligible)
  • BLS Certification
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous ICU experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Specialty certification in critical care or emergency services

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive patient care, utilizing nursing knowledge and critical care techniques.
  • Apply critical thinking and effective decision-making skills in a fast-paced ICU environment.
  • Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure cohesive care.
  • Contribute actively to patient recovery plans and follow-through of clinical protocols.
  • Prioritize patients' safety and comfort, responding swiftly and appropriately to changes in patient conditions.

Additional Requirements Upon Hire

  • ACLS Certification (within 3 months of hire)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (within 3 months of hire)
